Is Thanking Yourself Selfish?
Posted by: Greg Schmidt
You've seen this before: "People thanking their business opportunity for everything". Now, I really don't have a problem with that. But, did
the business opportunity make you the money? No, YOU DID!! We see this ALL the time in the internet or network marketing industry from people that have had phenomenal results and from people that have had little or no results. Is there anything wrong with that?
I am not arguing that people shouldn't edify their sponsor, mentor or business opportunity. But I would like to see more people stand up for themselves and THANK themselves for doing what most people don't do in this industry: and that is TAKING ACTION!!
Many people believe that joining an home business opportunity is going to bring them money instantly! Well, you can't lean on a shovel and expect a hole! You need to take action to create your own success! Now a mentor or sponsor can help you get on the right track, but if you're not moving you can still get run over!!
The amount of action will dictate your results, period. You, yourself are to thank. Business opportunities, mentors and sponsors are just tools. You use these tools to become a success. We are given leadership advice tools, mindset tools, skill set tools and everything else to be a success. Now, I agree that we are all handed different kinds and more useful tools than others may receive.
But a hammer is a hammer. It's how we use these tools and how efficient we can make them that determines our success.
So, is thanking yourself being selfish? I don't think I have seen this from anyone yet on a video or blog post yet. Will we see this? I guess time will tell. Maybe this article will give someone the inspiration to thank themselves for stepping up and taking action to create the results they desire for.
I appreciate your time,
